# LedDisplayDeviceTest
Qt GUI tool for debugging the `Device/LedDisplayDevice` protocol without
starting `ParkingSpaceGuideApp`.
The test links the `LedDisplayDevice` and `VrUtils` libraries configured in
`LedDisplayDeviceTest.pro`; it does not compile or link the device source
directly. Build those libraries with the same Debug/Release configuration
before building this project by itself.
## Usage
1. Enter the controller IP, TCP port, screen address, controller type, and
dynamic-area parameters.
2. Click **Connect**.
3. Use a state button, custom text, clear, or automatic demo to send data.
4. Use **Screen ON** or **Screen OFF** to issue the controller's forced power
command.
5. Inspect the protocol response log and the physical LED screen.
`Controller accepted` in the log means the controller returned a valid ACK.
It confirms receipt of the command, but only an on-site observation can
confirm the visible LED result.
Custom text is encoded as GBK, matching the controller font protocol. The
simulator treats the whole configured screen size as one dynamic area (the
selected dynamic-area ID, normally `0`). The preview is a visual stand-in for
that complete physical screen and updates whenever a command is sent.
The power buttons send maintenance command `A2/05` with status `0x01` (on) or
`0x00` (off), and wait for the normal controller ACK/NACK response.
The device library also supports controllers that use several areas: configure
`LedDisplayConfig::dynamicAreas` directly when multiple records are required.
Each `LedDisplayArea` carries its own position, size, animation settings and
optional text. `LedDisplayResult::areaTexts` can supply text per area at send
time; the test GUI intentionally keeps this advanced mode out of the preview.
## Package
Build the Release target, then run from the repository root:
```bat
set QT_PATH=D:\Qt\5.15.2
GrabBagPrj\pkg_leddisplaydevicetest.bat
```
For a non-standard build directory, pass the executable path as the first
argument. The package script runs `windeployqt` and writes the deployable GUI
to `GrabBagPrj\buildwin\LedDisplayDeviceTest`.
